SUBJECT:   PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF UPDATES TO THE DROUGHT CONTINGENCY PLAN

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY


Staff and FNI, the City's consultant drafting and preparing the Updated Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) will present the final revised draft for City Council to consider for final approval and adoption by Ordinance at an upcoming City Council meeting in August.  

Of particular note in this draft is the allocation of a maximum number of gallons per stage with an associated surcharge.

Included as reference are the 2023 Residential Consumption distribution charts used in the allocation analysis, and the DCP Update comparison to other Fort Bend County DCP's.

 


RECOMMENDATION


City Council provide direction and/or comments regarding scope of draft Drought Contingency Plan for receiving final document to adopt by Ordinance in an August Council meeting.
