EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Per Resolution 2016-311, Staff advertised for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for General Professional Engineering Services on July 9, 2024 and received 58 responding firms on August 22, 2024 (RFQ #2024-056). Firms had the opportunity to submit under a variety of different categories that their firms have specific qualifications in specialized areas.
Staff prepared an Authorized Professional Services Firm spreadsheet from the RFQ tabulation that details each firm’s responding category of specialized areas. The spreadsheet breaks down the components into categories as follows:

1. Drainage
2. Facilities/Buildings

3. Water - Plant
4. Wastewater - Lift Stations
5. Wastewater - Treatment Plant
6. Water & Wastewater - Utility Lines
7. Streets/Traffic/Bridges
8. Geotechnical/Environmental
9. Master Planning/Assessment
10. Parks/Landscape Architecture
11. Construction Material Testing
12. Construction Management/Inspection
13. Grant Consulting
14. Surveying/Easements and Related Services
15. Acquisition Services
16. Other

This process provides a list of firms that staff can utilize to meet the various needs established for FY 25. In addition, vetting the firms allows for an
efficient way of doing business to meet the city’s goals and objectives.

RECOMMENDATION

City staff recommends that City Council approve the list of firms for General Professional Engineering Services.
