City staff, pursuant to Section 252.021(a) and Section 252.022 of the Local Government Code, utilized an informal solicitation process to issue requests for offers for repairs to the City's municipal Complex Buildings A & B for damages caused by Hurricane Beryl.
A request for offers (Contract 2024-060) was issued to seek offers for repairs to unforeseen damage to Municipal Complex Buildings A&B Exteriors:
The Scope of Work for the exterior repairs includes:
· Concrete Removal: Perform saw cutting, demolition, and removal of approximately 2,536 square feet of concrete.
· Drain Installation: Install 4” to 6” perforated drainage pipe, wrapped in filter fabric, along the building perimeter. Connect the new drainage system to existing catch basins using 6” to 8” PVC drainpipes. Work includes saw cutting and removal of existing concrete, placement of pipes in cement-stabilized sand, and installation of new concrete. Approximately six new tie-ins will be created.
· Weed Barrier and Gravel Installation: Install a weed barrier in open areas before laying the drainpipe. Place gravel to match the existing material, ensuring a uniform depth of 6 inches.
· Glass Removal and Reinstallation: Remove all existing glass on the north and south-facing sides of the building. Reinstall glass with new sill pans, water diverters, end dams, and apply fresh caulking and sealant.
